Honours and distinctions:
I am assistant professor in the department of mechanical and industrial engineering of the the faculty of engineering of Elmergib University, where I am also director of the international cooperation office (ICO) and legal entity appointed representative (LEAR) for EU projects. I completed my MSc in 2010 (with distinction) from the university of Huddersfield in the area of mechanical engineering design. I received my PhD from the same university in November 2015, with a thesis on “thin-film characterisation of flexible PV modules”. My PhD was a part of an EU-funded project entitled “NanoMend”, in co-operation with Durham-based Centre for Process Innovation (CPI), a leading producer of printable electronics, including flexible solar panels. I gained considerable experience working with faculty, students, staff, an external business advisory board, and various university officials, including the president, provost, general counsel, vice president for research, and deans in virtually every college. I participated in several committees, and oversaw the development of a modular corporate undergraduate program. I have published more than twelve journal papers and 14 conference papers around the world in the area of mechanical engineering. I am also an editorial board member of the Nanoscience and Nanometrology Journal.
